We’re a team of two:
Pete – Remote tech worker, solar installer, Skoolie builder, and road warrior.
Kitty – Adventure dog and loyal co-pilot.
Together, we live full-time on the road in our self-built Skoolie and make stops along the way to help others get set up for off-grid life.

Our Mission

At VanCampingLifestyle, our mission is simple:
To support fellow nomads with practical advice, honest gear reviews, and real stories that make life on the road easier—and a little less lonely.
We’re not a big brand or faceless company. We’re just a couple of travelers trying to help others stay out longer, go further, and live better off-grid.

I’m Pete, a full-time nomad traveling across the U.S. in a converted school bus Skoolie named Tom, towing a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Ruby, with my loyal dog Kitty riding shotgun. I work remotely doing IT, bookkeeping, and payroll, and I also install off-grid solar systems for RVs and converted campers.

This site exists to share real-world experiences—where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and where I might be headed next.
