VanCampingLifestyle is rolling out small, informal Gatherings throughout the year. These aren’t rallies, festivals, or guided tours, and they’re not just about sitting around camp either. VCL Gatherings are for nomads who want to keep moving, stay connected with other travelers, and actually do things out in real places.
There’s no requirement to participate in anything. You can hang back, do your own thing, or just enjoy being camped near other like-minded nomads. But for those who want more, each Gathering will have optional activities, things like hikes, wilderness camping skills, off-grid know-how, hands-on learning, and location-specific skills you don’t really get from YouTube alone. Think practical experience, shared knowledge, and time spent outside instead of behind a screen.
These Gatherings are about learning by doing, helping each other out, and spending time together in places that feel a little more “out there.”

⛏️ Summer 2026 – VCL Gold Getters Gathering
Dates: June 7th-20th, 2026
Location: Near Atlanta, Idaho
The first annual Gold Getters Gathering will center around learning and trying hands-on gold prospecting, along with backcountry skills and exploration in the Idaho mountains. You don’t need experience, just curiosity and a willingness to get a little dirty if you choose to participate.
